It will then carry or drag their prey up to their burrow to feast on at their leisure. Truly terrifying creatures to encounter.

She lives deep in the Darkwood Forest with the others of her kind in a well built village that very few people have seen. The Darkwood witches date back several centuries, and have often been at odds with whoever is sitting on the throne of Volna. The current king, King Vincent LaCrane, believes Sonia and her following to be somewhat of a nuisance to the country. However, King Vincent is an extremely superstitious man, and tries to avoid the witches for the time being. Many believe it to be out of fear of being cursed as what many believe to be the case of King Vincent’s mother and grandfather when dealing with the witches during their reigns. A very tense relationship to say the least.

Claude is a trusted general for king Vincent who holds Castle Bruseau in the southern region of Volna just south of the Darkwood Forest. He is well skilled with the bow and arrow and posseses an abundance of well trained archers that are used all around the country.

The Erjynt race is shrouded in mystery. They are believed by many to be direct descendants of the Gods who only exist within Vanderia to provide an arial view of the realm to watch over and report back to their Gods and Goddesses of the heavens. They very rarely interact with people unless they need something and are thought to have a city high up above the clouds. While many believe them to be divine and other worldly, others simply see them as a selfish and overprivileged race of sky people.

Gigantic turtles of the ocean, these creatures get absolutely massive, as well as their lifespan. They can be temperamental at times, and it can be hard to know exactly what to do if you encounter one of these.

Creatures who come in literally all colors. They swarm in large schools across many of the world’s seas and oceans. They are generally shy in nature but will use their spear type horn in the center of their faces to defend themselves if they need to. Served as delicacies in some countries.

Shy little creatures, usually found in the shallower warmer waters of the world’s oceans. They aren’t known to be aggressive, and have actually been rumored to save people‘s lives from drowning on occasion. There have also been rumors from travelers throughout the centuries of these creatures having healing properties of some kind. Few details are fully known about them.

Dangerous creatures of the sea who prey upon anything they see drifting on or near the surface. They are known to firmly grab hold of their prey, paralyzing them with a potent venom in their stinger while pulling them down into a cave deep within the depths of the ocean where they cocoon them for food whenever they may need.

Strange creatures who thrive on the abundant reefs near the shallow waters of Kenji. They prey upon anyone or anything that they can pull down in the water and into their burrows along the base of the reefs. They can grow as large as a man in some cases.

Weight: 300 lbs - 2 tons

These giants are only found along the shorelines of Morhl. As big as they are, they prefer to avoid humans and spend much of their time near the shallow waters eating whatever is edible on the ground.

Not quite your average shark. They prowl the open waters and some are as big as an entire ship.

People of the sea. They can be found in many different oceans with complex underground cities. They even have wars and feuds among kingdoms in some cases.

Very rare timid people of the sea. They dwell near the ocean bottom of warmer tropical waters off the coasts of Naj and Calnor. Little is known about their behavior or social order among the different types of sea people.

A race of mysterious sea people who live in small underwater villages all throughout the realm.. Their history goes back many centuries with the Dweltyn sea people as they were once dominated by them and used as slaves within their kingdoms. No longer the case.

A distant relative to the Blood Strider, Northern Strider, and Desert Strider. This species of strider are extremely rare to see. They are thought to live in dwellings far down near the sea bottom. They are unique in that they can change colors in an instant to match their immediate surroundings. Often they aren’t even noticed until it’s too late.

A population of manta type halflings who have carved out small sections of certain waters for themselves. Although they often are overshadowed by the dominant Dweltyn race of the sea.

They can go between both worlds of ocean and land. Far more comfortable in the waters however. They still need to be close to some type of body of water if they travel on land.

The smallest breed of the dragon family. These creatures get no bigger than around 4 feet tall. Often mistaken for a larger bird from afar, they are still capable of spitting small weaker fire blasts. They come in many colors and are commonly found in the Red Mountains of Toria.

Most commonly found in the Red Mountains of Toria. They are able to breathe medium range fire blasts from their mouths when attacking.

Commonly found in the Blacksteele Mountains of Volna. They harness electricity as their power.

Most commonly found in the Red Mountains of Toria. Extremely powerful long range firepower from their mouths.

Rare dragons that are generally spotted in the far uncharted frozen regions of Nalvia. Known to have a frost breath.

Commonly found in wooded areas of Toria. They can spit small controlled fireblasts.

Another very rare breed thought to live in the Kenjian Mountains of Kenji. They are the longest living dragon type of all known dragons. Rumored to live for 500 years. When in danger or irritated, they emit intense steaming heat from their body making it dangerous to even get near them.

An extremely mysterious race of dragons who have somehow managed to remain hidden in some of the most forgot corners of the realm. They are known to breathe a powerful energy blast of some kind that can cause an immense amount of damage to its target.

Thought to be extinct for over a century, they have been sighted more and more at sea by travelers in recent years. They have always been known to create powerful vibrations through their bodies that can overturn vessels or stun other sea life.

Another breed of dragon thought to be extinct for some time. Like many things throughout the realm, rumors have circulated in recent years of these fantastic beasts continuing to thrive in remote locations. They were known to breathe an incredibly powerful fire that is green in color and can melt virtually anything it comes in contact with.

Unknown as to where these can be found although northern regions have been the most consistent sightings. The largest of all known dragons in the realm. Their fire blasts are completely epic.
